What We Believe
GCGDMinistires believes that:
- Jehovah God, the father of Abraham and Isaac, is the one and only true God and creator of the universe.
- Jesus Christ is the only true Son of God, the exact representation and revelation of God who became flesh through a virgin birth and lived upon this earth for a time. (John 1) He is the only way, truth and life.
- Jesus, God in the flesh, lived a perfect life in every way and chose to die upon the cross for substitution of our sin. He also, three days later arose from the dead defeating the chains of death. After visiting with hundreds of witnesses He ascended up into heaven. And we furthermore believe that He will return to earth someday soon to gather His own into His new kingdom (I Thessalonians 4:13-18).
- The Holy Spirit is God who dwells within us. He is the comforter, our teacher, and the power that moves in us and in others to draw us and help us yield to God's will and direction. He equips us with His gifts for service and with His character fruit, for holy living (Acts 1, 2).
- The Holy Bible is a product of the Holy Spirit moving upon men of God, inspiring them and guiding them in the writing of God's Word to mankind. The Word is the authority, and is God-breathed and authored. Therefore, it cannot be usurped in its authority, or in anyway contradicted in its principles. (2 Timothy 3:16)
- Every person is of worth and is created in God's image, but by our choice have fallen short of His Glory by our sins (Romans 3:23). But those who trust and follow Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour will be saved. To become His disciple one must Believe He is God in the flesh, repent of their sin, confess Him as Lord, be baptized, and live a faithful life. (Acts 2:30, Romans 10:9).
