Greg and Christi Sellers have known life in the church most of
their lives. Both were originally from Wichita, Kansas and by the
age of 12, both had been baptized. When Christi's father secured
a job with American Airlines, he moved the family to Broken Arrow,
Oklahoma. Chrisi was 7 years of age at the time. Greg at age 20,
moved to Oklahoma to accept a job in a fairly new ministry, Christ
in Youth. Greg’s job at Christ in Youth was printer and photographer.
Greg and Christi met in 1975 and then married at Northside Christian
Church in Broken Arrow in 1977. While Greg was still working with
Christ in Youth, Christi became Northside’s church secretary. Greg
later changed his job to a commercial printing company in Tulsa.
Greg has now been involved in the printing industry for over 35
years.
In 1992, the Lord provided another opportunity for the Sellers.
He opened the door for Greg to assist missionaries in the former
Soviet Union. At the time, most missionaries in the area lacked
the availability of Christian materials that were translated into
Russian. These missionaries desperately needed someone who could
gather and distribute the Christian materials throughout the former
Soviet Union. After living in Moscow, Russia in 1993 for a month,
Greg and Christi accepted the call to help meet the needs of the
missionaries. It was during their month-long stay in Moscow that
Greg and Christi met the Householders. Afterwards, Greg and Christi
spent four months in language and cultural school for training.
And then went on to spend two years (1994 to 1996) in Ukraine setting
up a warehouse and distribution center. During which time, they
were able to obtain 35,000 Christian books and distribute 14,000
of those books across the country of Ukraine.
In May 1999, the Lord blessed Greg and Christi with a son, Joshua!
Christi is now a stay-at-home mom and home schools Joshua. Christi
say that they endeavor to be faithful in teaching their son about
God and the wonderful blessings of being His follower. Greg was
pleased to be able to baptize Joshua on May 6, 2007.
Greg will be assisting Global Church Growth Discipling Ministries
in the publications of books, which will allow Dr. Householder more
time to write and teach his material. With Greg’s resources in the
printing and publishing industry, this will help GCGDMinistries
get the discipleship material to the churches.
